I'm not averse to such tools. I (confession time) spent lots of years writing Pascal / Modula-2 / Delphi with proper IDEs and debuggers and that was fine. However, for scripting languages like PHP I've never seen the need. I've tried to use all sorts of stuff with PHP over the years but I just come back to Vim and Ctags. Don't need anything else.
