Brian -if you can't see your block but you can't add it then, as you surmise, it must be hidden. If you can't see it with the editing turned on to "unhide" it, then switch to standard theme and see if that reveals it. I don't understand what you mean about if you add a page and move it to the central column - where are you adding the page and how are you moving it to the centre?
