While I can't comment on the live experience, I can say that the recording was better than previous meetings' live experience - the screen sharing was much faster and more reliable, for a start (although it seemed that HQ couldn't see other people's screens at times). In previous dev meetings, I've had to try to figure out the URLs and load pages myself to follow along - and of course, that doesn't work if it's a demo on a non-public Moodle instance!
As long as you're able to figure out a simple, consistent way to do live chat (and remember to keep an eye on it!), this seems like a good option for future meetings.
