I can't really help, but I have one request of whoever manages to write this up...
I'm sure a list of expectations would be helpful, but it would be great if some-one could write an idiot's guide to "what to do with your branch to get it how peer reviewers want it if it isn't right to start with".
The main thing I struggle with is where I have a series of commits that I'd like to restructure before submitting for peer review. I need to learn how to move changes between commits, delete commits & update commit messages to get them into the required format but it's a bit of a stretch for my limited git knowledge.
