Hi Dariusz,
I see - you're thinking about the instant messaging system and sending out bulk messages.
It looks like the decision was made some time ago so that only plain text would be shown in messages (except for hyperlinks of course). See the below tracking page:

This will mean that you cannot add anything from $USER or any styles into your messages without this being changed. I may be wrong.
May be a filter could be made to cater for this. My suggestion would be to put in a tracker and see how many votes it gets.
